develop award

There’s been plenty of activity in the Preloaded studio of late, and one major news item.  Preloaded have been nominated for ‘Best Independent Studio’ in the Develop 2012 awards.  There’s an amazing assortment of names competing in this category, so it is without a doubt a great achievement to be recognised even at this stage, and who knows what will happen on the night…

Introducing ‘SuperSight’

Moving on to news of the games I’m currently wearing my Senior Producer hat on, first up the newly announced SuperSight.  SuperSight takes the player on a journey of facing their fears and developing resilience, all in the guise of a finely tuned strategic combat game.  The development has been particularly interesting as we’ll be releasing SuperSight as a browser game, and also for iOS phones and tablets, and Android phones and tablets.  Developed in Unity expect to hear more soon on our approach to our first truly multiplatform development via the Preloaded website.

‘Footfall’ Imminent

A while back I mentioned our Facebook game Footfall.  Happily, this is now in the final testing and approvals phase, and a release is rapidly approaching.  For a taste and tease of what to expect check out the trailer, and head over to the Facebook page to make sure you keep up to date with the release plans.

Prototyping ‘Information Overlord’

Finally, another of the games I’ve been working on is approaching prototype completion.  This prototype for an iOS game for Library of Birmingham will soon be user tested, and a new development blog will be posted in the coming weeks.  Expect a link as soon as the the dev blog is published.
